This site is my attempt to share my Black History collection. It was created with the idea of finding pictures, books, music and memorabilia that would “WOW” young students. I believe that if you capture a students imagination in the 2nd or 3rd grade you can inspire them to want to learn more. If you wait until the 12th grade you have effectively lost them.

You can also use this as a guideline on how to start your own collection to share in your child’s classroom during February. Items need not be expensive. Goodwill and yard sales turn up some amazing items.
